The developers, Strikers Inc, have revealed that they have been working on UFL for five years and will be offering the game for free, meaning the introduction of microtransactions later is likely.

UFL Online Game Modes
At the time of writing, we have yet to find any information regarding the UFL and the specific game modes that might be included.
The UFL itself had previously said in a question-and-answer session that the focus will be on online game modes, which begs the question of whether the UFL will offer its own unique mode like the FIFA did it with Ultimate Team and PES with their Master League.
It’s too early to call at this point, but we understand that will be the direction they take. Time will tell what happens once the UFL finally announces the game’s release date.
