Following the viral success of wordleHasbro and Mattel have teamed up with game developer Scopely to launch a new web version of Scrabble.
Scrabble website (which can be played here) features PvP matches against players around the world, as well as friends. There is also a mode where people can test their skills against a computer program.
“Scrabble website is the meeting point for all Scrabble lovers all over the world,” reads the announcement.
“Here you can play your game of Scrabble with friends and family or practice against the computer in real time. You can keep up to date with all the latest Scrabble news from around the world, improve your game with tips from Scrabble pros and discuss (the game) with others Scrabble lovers on our dedicated online forum.

Currently, you can only play one game at a time (players have 15 minutes to make their move). However, the developers “will add the ability to play more than one game at a time in the future.”
“We are also working on fun additions to the online experience with Scrabble puzzles that will help you train your brain, as well as a Word Finder to decipher your tiles. The most exciting part is still Scrabble Web tournaments that community members will watch or participate in,” although details of this have yet to be announced.
